The left hand menu disappeared. How do I get it back?
For best viewing, maximize the window of your browser and close the Favorites/Bookmarks window if you have it open.
In some browsers the left menu on our site will disappear or shift to the bottom of the webpage if you are not viewing the pages in full screen mode.
Can I save these tools and modify them for my own purposes?
Absolutely! Use the "Click here to download" and choose the SAVE button to save it to your local drive.
Some files are PDFs or locked forms that cannot be edited directly. But you may wish to model a form you create for your own research after such a form you find on this site.
Of course, always look for and pay attention to copyrights. If we know of any, they are noted in the acknowledgement.
How do I print a specific tool?
Use the "Click here to download" and choose the OPEN button to see the file in the format it was saved (Word, Excel, etc.) Then choose the PRINTER icon from the browser menu, or by clicking File/Print from the browser menu.
How do I print the list of tools contained within a sub-topic?
When you browse by sub-topic, a list of all the related tools, articles, and resources appears in the main window. You can print the list by clicking the PRINTER icon on the browser menu, or by clicking File/Print from the browser menu.
How do I report a problem or broken link?
Click the Report a Problem link at the bottom of any page to send an email to alert us. It is very helpful if you can paste the page link from your browser in to the email and tell us the link you clicked that isn’t working.
How can I provide feedback or make suggestions?
If you want to provide feedback or suggest additional resources that should be included, please click the Provide Feedback link at the bottom of any page. You’ll arrive at a Survey Monkey survey that will allow both directed and open-ended comments.
However, if the nature of your feedback is such that you want to be sure we see your comments right away, please use the Contact Us feature instead of (or in addition to) the Provide Feedback link.
How do I search for a tool or resource?
Type your search term(s) into the "What are you looking for?" field and click the SEARCH NOW button. The search function appears at the top of the left menu bar on every page.
On the search results page, more search options will appear so you can modify your search if needed.
If you include more than one key word in the search box, for example
"collaborative budgets", you can opt to search again based on "All words" entered versus "Any words."
- Using "All words" means the search must find both words in proximity in the same file or title.
- Using "Any words" as a filter will show you all instances where either word appears. That will also produce multiple listings for the same item if the phrase is used more than once.
If the left menu is not appearing in your browser, maximize your window and close any open browser panes (e.g., Favorites/Bookmarks) so you are viewing the site on your full screen.
I found the same tool in two different places. Is this intentional?
Yes. Our peer reviewers sometimes found tools and resources to be applicable to more than one sub-topic or category. In these cases, we’ve listed them in each area our reviewers felt they had utility.
Can I see a master list of everything on this site?
